📜 Live Bird Photography Contest – Guidelines

1. Contest Date & Timings

Photography Window:
🕕 6:00 AM on January 10th to 6:00 PM on January 11th

Submission Deadline:
🕗 On or before 8:00 PM on January 11th

2. Eligibility of Photographs

  • Photographs must be captured live during the contest period
  • Only birds in natural conditions are allowed
  • ❌ Captive birds, zoo birds, or staged setups are not permitted
  • Each participant may submit only three entries

3. Editing Rules

❌ Not Allowed:

  • Adding or removing elements
  • Heavy retouching
  • Composite images
  • AI-generated or AI-enhanced content

✅ Allowed:

  • Cropping
  • Exposure adjustment
  • Contrast
  • White balance
  • Minor sharpening

Organizers may request original (RAW/JPEG) files for verification.

4. Judging Criteria

a. Framing & Composition

  • Subject placement
  • Use of light, background, and perspective
  • Overall visual balance

b. Action / Activity

  • Capturing behavior, movement, or interaction
  • Natural moments such as flight, feeding, nesting, or calls

c. Creativity / Social Message (Bonus Points)

  • Unique viewpoint or storytelling
  • Strong conservation, environmental, or social message

5. Submission Guidelines

  • Photos must be submitted in JPEG format (high resolution)
  • File name format: ParticipantName_PhotoTitle.jpg
  • Late submissions after 8:00 PM will not be considered

6. Ethics & Conduct

Bird welfare is a top priority.
❌ Do not disturb, bait, harass, or harm birds to capture photographs.
Any violation will lead to immediate disqualification.

7. Rights & Declaration

  • The photograph is the participant’s own work
  • It was taken during the contest period
  • It follows all contest rules
  • Organizers reserve the right to use submitted images for contest-related promotions with due credit

8. Disqualification

Any violation of timing, editing rules, ethical practices, or false information will result in disqualification. Judges’ decisions are final and binding.
